Here's a picture of metal frames(3/4inch thick) being welded for custom amp racks that will be sitting on plexi. The amps shape was restructured from previous shape to make more room for my custom fiberglass enclosures.

Looking good! The wait is killing you, isn't it? I know about three weeks into my build, I got real impatient.

Actually that's the exact place that it will be.It was not completely snap in or bolted yet but I sat in the car for 10-15 minutes to make sure I will not directly kick it when I step on the clutch before having it painted. It is kinda anoying to have that in the way.I drive fast but I don't race people so I would be more careful when I step on the clutch.

This car is built for sound quality competitions in mind so kickpanels is a must since it raises your soundstage incredibly. It's also the best place to put your midrange driver & tweeter!

You can if you want to since you live in Sf,ca. The shop is in DalyCity so it's not that far.If you ever want some kind of car audio done that shop is a good one. They have a lifetime guarentee on their installs. That's a plus to my consideration on picking a shop.

That piece was custom made with urethane/plastic, sanded down, primered , and then sent to bodyshop to add some Flex chemical to it so it won't crack easily before painting it. Not sure if that helps.Let me know what you need to know & I got ask the installer for more details!

Here's a mini update on the trunk. Fuse holder built right on top of the amps.

How come you didn't set the LCD lower into the dash?

I did want to do that in the beginning but they have to relocate the climate controls to make room for my Eclipse Avn2454 deck.I don't want to have problems later down the road from my climate controls so I decided to have them make a piece for it where the stock Navi would of been. Time was also a factor because I did intend to make it to HIN on April 2nd & making the piece on top of the dash will give more time for the rest of the install but it looks like I'll miss HIN it by a week because I still have to go back to the bodyshop for my MS kit after my install is done & I need to get some new wheels.

So you're saying that it could be done...

Yes, it could be done.Replacing the stock radio, relocate the climate controls,& then fiberglass the kit for the new deck but it does take a lot of time & effort. Devoid's install did that with his Pioneer Dvd palyer deck.It turn out really good.I was in a hurry trying to make it for HIN & made an irrational decision to not go that route but it turned out ok in my opinion. Now that I'm not going to make it, I really regret not doing it the way Devoid did his since I put in alot of money for the install.

Here's a mini update.I will be putting one Phoenix Gold Titanium 30band 1/3octave equalizer in passenger & driver seats each under a clarion 7inch monitor.I will placing the 2 Elite titanium external crossovers stacked inbetween the rear seats. The trunk's cover just got started. It's gonna be fiberglassed & painted.

I mean't more like how the factory nav lcd is set back into the dash. It's lower than yours and still does not affect the other controls. Does that make sense?
