As for the rear armrest cover...

...well, I don't have that one on yet. I tried to install it, and thought it will be really easy. Actually, it's not bad, except that there is quite a bit of material on the underside that you have to tuck in neatly, or trim the hell out of the cover. It's not easy to make it tight because you don't have the same screwed-on plastic cover on the underside like in case of the front lid that allows to hold the leather tightly in place. It is also pretty hard to pop the cover back on due to the cover - it will hinder the plastic hooks to go back properly. But all that would be fine and can be dealt with. What I finally could not make work was the fact that the additional thickness of the leather somehow did not allow the cover to be opened and closed normally because there is very little space around the hinge.
It's hard to explain, but it didn't work out. So after a lot of aggravation, I temporarily conceded defeat and gave up on it.

I think what I'll try next is to use some spray glue to hold the leather tightly in place and also will trim the cover material on the underside as much as necessary. Hopefully then the hooks will go back properly in place and I can trim the leather close to the hinge so it will not cause problems. But for that' I'm planning to get another lid so if I mess it up with the glue, I'll have a spare

I'll report back once (or better said, IF ) I get that done.

Your thoughts on using the Alcantara for the arm rest and ebrake? I know it may wear out faster then the leather due to natural skin oil. Dose this stuff stretch more then the leather? How near is the Grey Alcantara to the grey seats in the 8?

Alcantara is actually pretty durable, and last a long time. It's doesn't stretch quite as much as leather.

If you send a photo of your grey interior, we can let you know how close it would be.

Thanks

im thinking about all this as well, but before that, a question about the arm rests...
do you offer them in different colors or just in all black?

Of course, you have your choice of color in Italian Leather, Alcantara, or Carbon Fiber Vinyl.

Thanks in advance

This thread sort of went cold.

To get things rolling again, we'd like to offer a huge discount.

Our regular price for boots starts at $35, but if we can get at least 10 people interested, we'll offer the low price of $19.99!

Let's get 10 people on the list, and we'll honor the discounted price.

You still get to chose your choice of color and material (Italian Leather, Alcantara, Carbon Fiber vinyl).

Please put your name down below if you are interested:

That's Black Carbon Fiber with a stripe. Of course the boot will look different as this one in the photo is for a Ford.

It would be a few dollars more for the stripe

Thanks!

Shiftstyle,
Are you still selling the rear console cover? I have a shift boot, the front armrest cover, and now I just need the rear console cover to complete my set. I've got the red/black interior and have been doing black leather with red stitching

PS: To the few above, the black alacantra/white stitching looks superb on the black leather interior
