Scratches on windshield (inside)
OK, the previous owner of my 8 had installed a 6 inch tinted visor strip across my windshield. I wanted to remove it because it made me feel like I was sitting in a cave. I'm tinted all the way around, which I love, but I hated the windshield strip. Anyway, one hot day I pulled the tint off, leaving the adhesive behind, of course. Stupidly taking the advice from someone on another forum (big mistake) I used 409 and a scotchbright pad to remove the adhesive. The 409 worked awesome, but the scotchbright pad turned out to be a huge mistake. I've now got a bazillion little swirl scratches in the upper third of my windshield The only time I can see them is if the sun or a street light hits them directly, but when they show up, the REALLY show up.
My question is simple...How do I get rid of them? Is there any glass polish that will do the trick? The windshield seems much softer than I first thought. The scratches are fine enough that I can't feel them with a fingernail, so I'm hoping I'll be able to do something about it.
