You can also check the radio Version by holding the "Text" button and the preset "1" at the same time when the radio is on. Ver. 9.50, 9.53, 9.55, 9.67 are 04' radio's.

I took the car back on Thursday. It took the dealership a minute to figure out what they had done and they said they would take care of it. I got the car back later that day and they told me they found the car they took the HU panel off of. Would have hated to buy a new '05 with a '04 HU panel on it.
