Its most likely the faceplate of the stereo system, if its loose or not connected to the body of the stereo system, the big metallic box part that the face is connected to, it definitely can cause this. So your best bet might be to watch a video on how to get out the system properly without pulling too hard on anything to break any part and take a better look. Hope this helps. Let me know

But the easiest way to find out is to put pressure on both sides of the front

First unscrew your shift ****. (lefty loosey) Next pull up on the front part towards the lighter end on the plastic piece on the center console. care not to pull too much, there are clips it snaps into. Also be careful with the heated seat connectors. Disconnect those and set that aside. Next flip up the ash tray cover, take a phillips screwdriver unscrew the two holding the ash tray. Next pull towards you as if you are sitting in the driver side, pull back and up, should pop right out. after that there are two screws also holding in the faceplate. They are located directly under the faceplate, unscrew those. Next is the worst one ever. I used an extension and just twisted it by hand. This bolt is located on the left side where the disc changer would be. Pull the plastic piece under the steering wheel up towards you, should unsnap just fine. Next is a metal plate, unscrew those 4 off. Now you can easily access that pain bolt. If you go under the steering wheel you should see a bolt way in there where your stereo would be sitting, Unscrew that bolt, its a pain, I dropped it down in the carpet and had to pull the carpet so get an extension with a magnet too. Save you some time. haha. Now you can carefully pull out the faceplate. Be very careful, it is hanging on with these screw things that are screwed into the faceplate, mine were broken so it just popped off. Now disconnect all connectors. Next take some nice air duster and spray into all of the connectors. and put them all back together, try if that works, if not your faceplate where it holds in the screws to the changer is messed up. Mine were all broken, so i super glued them in with the metal screw holders in there. And put it all back in. Haven't had a problem since. Let me know how it all works out. Need questions just pm me. Good luck!
