Running power for amp through interior
Does anyone know of a full tutorial on running the power for an amp through the firewall and interior to the trunk? The search on these forums sucks and I've looked for hours. The pictures on the thread that is linked from the sticky thread are decent, but no instructions, I think they assumed the reader had a lot more experience taking apart the interior than I do.
I just want to make sure I can put back everything nicely
Any help would be appreciated.

Have a link to the factory service manual. I think you're looking for the interior book. it will show you how the panels come apart and where the clips are.

I've got a few pictures on feeding the wire through the main wiring harness grommet here, but I can't be assed to do a step by step DIY because A: I'm lazy. and B: Not having step by step how to's provide a stumbling block for those without the skills to do things properly. I certainly don't want to get blamed when someone cuts up their main wiring harness because they were too inept to follow my instructions.

Thanks for the links. I have found enough information to get the wire to the cabin, but I'm mainly worried about taking apart the interior pieces to get to it and hide it. Do you have any pictures of running it down the side? And did you have to remove the rear seat?

running down the side is a piece of cake. There is a pretty good DIY somewhere here that has pictures and all. And taking the rear seat out is a breeze. Just pull up on the front of the bottom cushion and pull it out. then take a ratchet and undo the two bolts at the bottom of the rear cushion and pull that part up and out. Again, there is a DIY on that as well that a simple search can find.
Just be REAL careful and be gentle with the parts you take apart so you don't accidentally break any clips.

And another route for the power wire: https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-do-yourself-forum-73/diy-best-route-amp-power-16217/
Hope this helps a little. Good luck

I ran my 0awg run down the passenger side and you'd never know it was there. It was kind of a pain in the *** doing it with such a big wire, but everything went back in place. Be careful pulling panels (patients, not speed!) and you'll do just fine.
OH! remember to use a grommet when coming through the firewall. You don't want the jacketing of the wire to rub through. It can cause MANY electrical gnomes to pop their heads out, one of which is fire.
