Unbelievable! If OverLOAD finishes up his AuxMod soon, that means for $250 I'll have a 20 GB drive, a display and a way to hook it all up to the car's stock audio. Sweet!

I just got it in the mail on Friday (okay, it was actually FedEx) and took a look at where I could install the face plate this morning. The face plate is DIN sized and maybe an inch thick or slightly thinner.

I think I found the perfect place. Right where the flip up ash tray/cigarette lighter is, it should fit. I'll have to remove the flip up door and make some sort of custom piece (or just knock a hole in the door to start). A write up of the install (with pics) will show up one of these days...now I need the AuxMod to be able to actually get the music to the stereo!

Has anyone installed this thing yet? I was looking at getting one, but was trying to figure out where to mount the remote control.

 

I haven't mounted it yet because I'm waiting for the AuxMod to be sent out. As far as where, see my above post.
