I was happy with everything but the license plate light. The LED projects a really sharp beam of light - but its narrow and doesn't fully illuminate the whole plate. Oh well - its still better than the stock light.

Frost the surface of the LED by using some very fine sandpaper. That will diffuse the light so that it is spread over a wider area and not such a sharp cutoff. Just do a little bit at a time until you're satisfied with the result.

damn, man...you're going to go blind--from them all them super whites. I tried the LED thing for the reverse lights. and although the light was "whiter" and more intese from the outside, from inside my car it seemed dimmer for some reason.

definatley take night pics...i'd like to see how bright them byaches are!?

oh btw, thanks for filling out my survey!

Im telling you guys, my camera sucks. But if you want pics... here we go.
I'll try get better ones done whenever we do the full photoshop thing. God knows when that'll be.

Clear Lense and Parking Light:

Vanity Light:

Dome Light:

I'll get the reverse lights later tonight. Too much trafic on the road for me to roll a camera stand into the street, and by camera stand i mean trash can.
Oh and i forgot the door jam, but its the same color as the other LEDs.

The headlights are brighter because of course they are HIDs, the color is very similar tho. I tried taking a pic with my camera but it just came out as a huge blur. As soon as i get access to a good camera, i'll take some pics of it for you.

are you for real?
I do have one LED bulb left over, so i guess i can give this a try. So just get some fine sand paper and rub it over the lens? This sounds like a horrible idea.

umm, that sounds like a BAD idea. LED's are pretty fragile little guys.

BigO,
Keep us posted on how the LEDs standup, k? I want to replace my front missle-rocket-looking lights with LED but have heard horror stories of them melting and getting stuck. I've read it gets really hot in there?

Oh yeah, and can you post the part#'s for the bulbs you got?

I think i already posted all the bulb codes on teh first page. If there is something in particular you were looking for let me know.

I definetely wouldnt recommend getting discount LEDs for your missle lights if heat is an issue. I've had my PIAAs in their almost 2 years now... with no issues.

BigO - you're probably safe to sand the LEDs, a few years back I did a project where I had to cram a few LEDs into a very small space and I actually held one on a belt sander for a few seconds to flatten out the tip

Though, if you kill your LED, don't come after me with any weapons of *** destruction in hand.
