replacing bose amp?

Hi,

I have an extra amp at home and was thinking about using it in my car. I was wondering if anyone has done this and if so, what wires are the high level inputs from the factory stereo. I have a feeling it's the two sets of wires that are surrounded by the grey coating, but I just wanted to be sure.
I have already done a search for this, but came up empty!

Thanks for your help!

djseto is correct. The grey lines that you see are the premp lines that run from the head unit to the amp in the rear parcel shelf. DO NOT tie into these lines if you are keeping the stock system intact. If you are adding something like a sub, tie into the rear 6x9" speakers at the speakers themself. There is a way to do this system properly and a way to do it improperly, which way do you want to go?

thanks for the response!!
I will do another search and see if I can find something!

What I am trying to do is get rid of the bose amp and bose speakers. I have an extra phoenix gold amp that has high level inputs - couldn't I just hook the grey covered wires into this new amp??
I have already added the sub - and I did just splice off the rear 6x9s

hopefully I will figure someting out!!

thanks again!!

That would be a no. What you need is the Audio Control 6XS to do the job properly. This device you can integrate into the factory preamp lines. Contact me by e-mail at forbidden@telus.net for more info.
