Remote turn-on issue with LC6i signal sensing

I tapped into the stock headunit speaker outputs just before the Bose amp harness. They run to an Audiocontrol LC6i with signal sensing and summing abilities. The RCA outputs from the LC6i run to a Kicker ZX700.5 which powers an all aftermarket setup from there.

On the LC6i, it has a +12V in, ground, remote in, and remote out. If you're having trouble with turn-on pop you can using a normal 12V remote into the unit. (Be it from an aftermarket headunit or ACC wire) But it also has signal sensing abilities to make its own 12V remote trigger out. I choose to give this a try and if I have no noise issues, great.

So I power up for the first time and everything seems to work perfectly. LC6i and ZX700.5 power up and I have music. I start to put my ear to each speaker to make sure they're all working (I had volume very low) and everything stops after about 30 seconds of play. LC6i and amp turn off. Headunit it still playing away though. Hmmm... I try jumpering the 12V remote in right to the 12V battery wire. Everything powers right back up and I have music again. So I think maybe because the volume was so low, the LC6i didn't even see enough signal to remain on. So I undo the jumper and try it again. Nothing. Turn the volume from 5 (where it was working at before) to 20 without it turning on. Ok now I'm stumped. It was working fine just a second ago.... it's as if I've fried the signal sensing abilities during my 30 seconds of play. HELP!

Can't imagine that you would have messed anything up, but the signal sense may not work that great w/ the low level inputs before the bose amp. It was designed for speaker level inputs after the amp.

Yeah, that is the problems I was having... If i had to take a phone call or something, and turned the radio down a little bit, it would shut everything off.

You guys are saying the signal is too low for the unit to sense anything at all.... but if I turn the volume up... it still doesn't turn on again. Even if I turn it up to 20, turn off the headunit, and then turn it back on. So it's at 20 right when it would start sensing the signals. Nothing.

Also, after I posted this, I hopped in the car to head to work. Started the car and had music at volume 5 for about 20 seconds again. Then it kicked back off. So it appears as it will do this again and again. BUT not every time. Nothing at all on the ride to lunch or ride home from work.
