Static: That's a pretty neat place for that bass controller but I think I'd get tired of opening up the arm rest every time. Who knows, maybe I'm just lazy like that...

Thanks for the good install instructions. I just did this tonight and I have to say it is the best location for the bass control. The only thing I did different was to sand down the sides of the plastic a little bit on the potentiometer and then used a little silicon lubricant to make it slide in easier (that came out wrong didn't it). No problem. Glad it worked out for you. I thought about lubing/sanding to get it to fit better, but I also didnt want it to move.

I'm guessing it stays open since there is broken glass inside.
