Hi all

I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on my issue.

I have been working in the rear of my RX in the trunk and noticed that where you access the rear of the tail light bulbs there is a metal plate over the right hand (if looking from rear of vehicle) bulb sockets. There is no plate on the left hand side and the bulbs are easily accessible for changing. The right hand side looks like I have to remove the plate to gain access to the bulbs.

Is this normal, or should I have two plates? one on each side. I am trying to get the bubs out of my tail lights.

I had another look and the only reason there would be a plate there is to stop intrusion into the trunk space to release the trunk lid as the key hole is right next to the light.

Must be a security measure from what i can see. anyone else got the same plate?
