radio replacement navigation

hi guys, so work for a company that build specialty vehicles and product development, i picked up and rx8 for myself. i did some research and found that the only aftermarket navigation installed was actually an alpine motorized flipout custom made into the dash. i looked ok for a custom job, but i am a very picky person and like anything done in our cars to look factory or clean. i am under consideration of making a console based off of a double DIN nav. most likely using the eclipse avn 2454 or similar models. i have had many request on other vehicles, most recently was beleive it or not the 05 honda oddyssey, where we took out the original radio, put in our touch screen nav on a custom made shroud that was painted exactly like the original flat black that was originally there. all in all i want to see if the demand is there, if i have enough serious demand or possible deposit, i am willing to make the nav work, and trust me, we can make almost anything happen. i am estimating the complete install without losing all your neccisary functions, suck as your a/c and display buttons, as well as steering wheel controls working with the aftermarket unit to total around $2395 installed with warranty. i just want your feedback, if its worth it to you, let me know, if its to high to you, than it wont be worth it for me. we have had tremendous success with our past projects and i hope this is something you all will be supportive of in the future. thanks
vince

I'm currently having an Avn5435 custom installed in my 8.Is your $2395 pricing is based on an Avn2454 unit plus the custom installation labor?

I'm very interested... where are you located?

On the other hand, what would you recommend to be the best navigation system that would be mounted remotely, with a touchscreen LCD mounted on the dash?

I'm also interested in installing the Nav system. I want it to look like the factory model, the way the screen flips up when car is in use.

Could we see more pictures? Where are you located?

we are locaed in southern california. right now we are still in development stage. i am a distributor and have plenty of experience with pioneer, kenwood, eclipse, alpine. i personally like the eclipse unit myself. as soon as production of the console underway. i plan on having a complete prototype by late next week. does anyone have any suggestions or comments about pricing or product, if so please feel free to post as i will take all suggestions into consideration. im making this piece not only for myself but for a final solution to all of our navigation needs.
