Radio problems (I think heat related)

So I have been having a problem with my stock non bose radio. When I get in on a hot day, the radio becomes un-responsive all together. Everything but the power button works. The display shows the radio station and time (sometimes, or nothing at all) and the only way to get it to work right is for my windows to be down and let it all cool down. It will also not let any of my climate controls to be changed such as the front vents to defrosters, but the fan still works. After about 5 mins it goes all back to normal. Sometimes though when I turn it off and back on (the radio) it resets itself. Any ideas? I really do not want a new radio, an aftermarket radio looks too cheap in the 8 in my opinion...

You say it's only on a hot day? Idk but maybe the faceplace connectors aren't fully intact with the radio ? just giving it a shot, it sounds like an odd problem.

If anything doesn't work, you can always purchase a used non-bose radio from a FS thread

True. But you hear about the same problems with what I am having with mine but none state on a hot day. And valid point. As much as I have thought about it, never even crossed my mind to buy another oem radio ha. I will look into it this weekend.
