My radio gets an electric humming everytime I connect the power cord to the lighter socket . I 've tried different power cords. For example: cell phone, satellite radio, small dvd player,etc. If I connect a power cord through the lighter socket the humming comes up and get louder when I speed up. Any Ideas??

I get the same thing and have found no solution other than using the one in the console.

 

the lighter plug outlet isn't really meant for electronics...it can't handle high amps or you will blow it...the reason you are getting feedback is the outlet is probably grounded on the same as the HU...the only way to fix it is to use a noise filter on the power outlet, the problem with that is, you could just take the time to install a seperate outlet that has higher amps or direct wire it onto ignition
