Quick help......dash vent removal?

Guys, I did search, but really couldn't find all that much.

Anyone knoe how to take out the circular A/C vents? Particularly the one to the left of the steering column? I've got the silver ring off and would prefer not to bust the rest taking it out. Saw one thread that just said get fingers in there and pull while wiggling. Anybody done this before I go and try it?

Grab a hold of it firmly and pull. It will pull right out.

Yep, thanks. I was searching with a flashlight and saw no way to get to any clips or anything. It's out now and I was as gentle as I could be, but as rough as needed. Really not that bad, but just one of those things that you better check on before just brutally attacking it! Looks like no damage!

Thanks for the quick response Easy!

Now that I see how deep the vent vane assembly really goes back in there, I may be changing my plan a little bit.
Not sure I can/want to try and get back in there to open up a rectangular hole about 1 1/4 inch long by 1/2 inch wide or so.

With the amount of force you have to put on it to get it out, you'd think it would just fall to pieces.
So your pulling on it and you hear that little voice in your head saying "Your gonna break it" lol

Teaser Pic

Teaser Pic..............this is what I was up to.

Was installing the dual vent pod made by Blockhead.

They are both in and capable of turning on(and did so one at a time), but am going to redo the wiring a little bit tomorrow. Then I'll take some pics with both of them on.

Sorry it's kinda out of focus!

Thought about going 60mm on the bottom and 52mm for the top, but had two 52mm OLED displays...so now I just gotta figure out which 8 parameters I will display 90% of the time.

Will probably go with..................

Water temp
Battery voltage
Sort of an AFR in %
Exhaust temp
Oil Temp <---- Have this already since I have the RB oil adapter installed and was tied to a Nordskog gauge, but now that's out and will route it to the PLX.
Oil Pressure <---- sensor on the way and will go on the RB adapter and to the PLX.

Need two more off the OBDII..............suggestions?

Just for you Easy and Shell.

They are in and working. Still waiting on oil pressure sensor unit, so this is NOT what all I will be monitoring.............was just for the pics.

More details in my gauge pod thread, but here's some pics.
