Hey I got my Black 8 a couple of month ago and a week ago I noticed that there is a shadow of the A/C fan in the display, and I say shadow because it has never light on when I turn the A/C on. Also, there is a shadow of and equalizer in this display but it doesn't turn on either. The only thing I get is the song # that is playing, the track timer, and the little seat with the A/C button on. I have a stock single CD player but I'm not sure if this has anything to be with the display not lighting on. The dealer told me that some 8's have that option and some not. What a response! I have already mess with all the buttons and read the car manual but nothing happens. Does anyone knows what it's wrong, does it only lights on with some stereos like the MP3 player or something. A little help here, please. Thanks!

 

Well, I'm not sure which icons you are referring to, but the RX8 does come with climate control in some markets (U.S./Canada not being one of them). Do you think it might be for that?

Yes, the pic of the fan is for auto climate control, we do not have available.

The pic of the equalizer is for the MP3 player.

If you look on your instrument cluster under the temp, and to right of the fuel guage is the low tire pressure light, you probably have that in the USA, Canada does not. But we get head light cleaners instead.

I hate that, I want all of the toys!!

For real man, it sucks that we can't get all the toys. Thanks for the explanation Doug, not even the guys at my dealership could explain this to me; they even took out the display and install a new one because they thought that there was something wrong with it (what a technitians)...
