Purchasing, Amp + Front Speakers (possibly deck)

Hey audio gurus.

I'm planning on purchasing the k2p's from Focal. Just front components, and leaving the stock rear crap fillers. As for the deck, i hear that using a stock deck can degrade the sound quality quite severely(any comments?). I would like to try to decide on an AMP to power the k2p's. Any suggestions there?

Thanks again. Btw, I live in California.

I would recommend the use of an amp. As for how "poor" the stock head unit is for sound quality, i cannot comment.

How much are you willing to spend? The DaVinci amp is quite nice... I would recommend that you stick with a good american amp that puts out good sound. Crossfire certainly puts out some choice amps.

I have a set of Focal Polyglass 5 1/4" speakers that were in my M3 before I sold it if you are interested. I only had them in the car for about 3 months. I also have a pioneer 8400 deck which is one down from their top of the line 9600 model. It's in excellent condition and all components were professionally installed and removed.

Well the Focals run a recommended wattage of 100 watts / channel, max wattage of 200. I will be running each channel at 100 watts. The Focal K2ps are 2 way components, and I'm only purchasing front speakers. Therefore I basically need an amp that is high enough quality to be up to PAR with the k2ps and can handle 100 watts / channel 2 ways.

take a look at some of the a/d/s two channel amplifiers. Also if you can find a used 1998 era RF power punch 250a2 (or there abouts)...

US amps also makes nice pieces..

What else... a nice used ESX amp, ... JBL bp series... so many choices.
