Red face Problem with Nav system

This is a bizarre problem and probably has an easy fix to it but I for the life of me cannot think of what to do. The other day, my wife and I were taking a drive I noticed that I didn't exactly know how to get back home. I figured I would use the Nav system to find my way since I haven't used it in quite some time. When it started up it seemed fine but I noticed that the saved point that I had in there from a while ago for my home was no longer in there.

At this point I just assumed I lost them due to disconnecting of the battery. However, now if I input the zip code of the city I live in, it can't find it. It's like my city doesn't exist at all, same with the neighboring city.

Is there a region/location setting that I'm over-looking? I've skimmed through most of the setting but I can't seem to find any place to change it. Any help would be appreciated, because it's going in the shop tomorrow and if I can figure this out on my own I would prefer that instead looking like a complete idiot at the dealer.

th1rd3y3 - I'm sorry, Life as you've known it no longer exists. You're "wife"...she's just an actress...your city, your house...it's all just a big set. Your bank accounts - emptied, your job - doesn't exist. We're sorry, you no longer exist. Now just follow those men in the white jackets calmly, and this will be easy for everyone.

Oh, and as for the nav problem...I honestly don't know. I'd say maybe check the DVD. Clean it, put it back in, check for your address again. While at home, see what it says for your current location. Than try to search again. You can also Mark your current location from home and see what happens then.

on this topic, does the navi info and saved data all get lost when the batt is disconnected?

if so, is there away way to store it or prevent data loss? I have a ton of points in my system and will need to disconnect the batt in coming days.

That's what I figured was wrong, but where do you access that information?

I believe it's in the top portion of the select destination menu. It'll say the region and have a button labeled "Area" to the right of it. Select the Area button and pick your region. You should be good to go.

Yeah I figured it out then....odd thing is, PA is in the Northeast and North Central areas, but it doesn't work in North central.
