Power Rear Windows/Service manual
Hey All,
My buddy and I are working on a setup for powered rear windows on my 8. I've searched the forums and glanced at a bunch of threads, but didn't really find an answer. (Prepares for the flaming)....
So can I get some suggestions on 1> a good comprehensive service manual everything from taking apart the interior the engine replacement and 2> in the meantime can someone suggest the best ways to dissasemble the rear door panel (more specifically the plastic area around the window). Any Help would be greatly appreciated.
also I saw a bunch of posts with suggestions on how to do the power rear windows (like taking the unit of a 3 series or minivan) but I didn't see one on whether or not anyone had been successful, has anyone?
thanks in Advance EveryBody

I thought about doing this just yesterday, unfortunately time and knowledge in that area are very limited. If you could do this I think you'd have a number of people who'd buy it. Me included.

In my opinion the cost and time it would take to power up the rear windows would greatly outweigh any advantages you'd get from it. Not to mention your adding weight to an already light car.

Didn't mean to pee in your cheerios.
Just posting my opinion. If you do it takes some pics and stuff for the DIY section. I'm sure a few others would like to see this done.
