Hi all, I am about to start a full stereo install on my friends rx8, and before I begin, I have a few questions i was hoping you guys can answer.

Here is what I have planned for him:

stock headunit, line output converters at the stock amp into an aftermarket amplifier, which will power one or two 10" subs, and a pair of components in his front door, no rear speakres, and the center channel will be eitehr disconnected or attenuated via resistors.

but here are my questions:

1. I did a search here but did not find the wiring color code for the output terminal of hte stock amp. basically, i would like to know which ones i should tap the line output coverters into to gain a full range signal.

2. where is a good location to pass the power wire throuhg the fire wall?


if anyone has done a full system (speakers and subs powered off an aftermarket amp, feel free to give me any tips and advice you may have and tellme how it soudned afterwards...
