Pioneer AVIC-D3 problems

ive been working on my complete install for two days now.
the Pioneer AVIC-D3 is actually the first lcd HU i've ever done..and there is a couple problems that i can't seem to solve after two days now of work and i figured since i know a few of you have the Pioneer AVIC-D3 you could help

1) when i put a dvd in the warning message comes up which ive read you guys have tried to get rid of, but then i can't get the video to show up at all

2)the nav system is confusing, i can only click two out of the ten buttons on the menu screen which then won't allow me to program in my home address

thanks for the help

you have to have the ebrake hooked up. It's called a "lockout" the system checks to make sure the car is stopped and the ebrake is engaged before it will let you do things that it thinks are dangerous while driving. - hook up the ebrake wire and engage it to access the locked out items.

also - check out avic411.com, they probably have a bypass so the system will never lock out those features (also video while your driving)

as for the warning messages - You just have to deal with it.

Correct, the Avic D3 bypass is on Avic411.com. It entails moving one of the pins in the wiring harness & grounding it. The message will still show up each time you turn it on though.
