A- pillar

just curious is it ok to put a 3 pod a- pillar in my car or is there an airbag in there? are there any tips or trick in putting guages in somewhere else if bag is there?

The bag is actually over the door. The A pillar just announces that there is an SRS system nearby. It is safe to pull. If you do a search you will see quite a few different renditions. One of the members here (Rkostolni if I'n not mistaken) makes a really good looking one. GL, and let us know how it turns out.

I've got a Defi gauge with the a-pillar attachment. You could just attach 3 if you wanted. Here's some info on how to do it.

I have no idea about the gauge pod pillars, someone probably makes them, but I will say that there is no airbag under the A-pillar.

To remove it, pull in (assuming you are inside, towards the center console) and then slide it up towards the roof... The manual says something about a clip removal tool and pulling back the seaming welt, but if I remember correctly I didn't have to do anything spectacular, I just pulled. Maybe peal back the seaming welt just a little to get a grip on it...

I fabricated my own gaugepods for the a-pillar and centerconsole..
Can post more pictures once I get the installed.
