Does anyone have any pics of their install of 6.5" speakers in the front doors? I'm trying to see how I can put my MB quarts there. I'm assuming I need to make a custom bracket or something...oh and I have the Bose system.

Regarding mounting the new speakers with a custom bracket, there is no difference. You will have a bigger hole in the black plastic panel, but the screw holes are the same. You will need the exact same mounting plate.

 

I found a screw the dealer left out when replacing the amp in my door (warranty).

any advice on how to pop out the little fasteners all around the sides and bottom of the door panel? I've never had to do it before, and I don't have the 'fastener remover' the service manual recommends.

once I get the trim and panel off, I'll take pictures of the whole thing for you!
