OOOOH shiney! Wow guys, I'm loving it. I'm wanting to redo the guts of my car, too. My exterior is VR so i'm wanting to make all of the silver peices that color and maybe eventually redo the interior on the roof and make it black to flow better with the color scheme.

Cant wait to see the finished product!

Nice project! The gunmetal is definitely a gorgeous contrast to the black - more subtle and classy. I bought a fake carbon fiber dash kit two years ago (which some days I regret) and haven't gotten around to painting the other accents yet.

Speaking to your intent to purchase the mazdaspeed door handle bezel and window switchplate replacements, I have both and they are of excellent quality. Also (obviously), they would match your interior perfectly! You should get them and post some pics!

Did you ever consider using auto interior paint, or did you just go with model paint b/c you had the equipment for it?
