Im just curious as a long time rx8 owner. Ive never seen anyone add these to the steering wheel and rewire them to do something. As a wiring nut Id love to know what anyone would do with extra buttons and if its even possible. Just an idea I've been throwing around for a while.

 

To do what though? I have steering wheel controls for sound system and cruise control. Everything else is already at my finger tips in stock form.

Cool(ish) idea. But I just don't see many practical applications. In another car I might say something like a control for the line lock or a purge for a nitrous system.

Problem is as we all know, a line lock on an RX8 is about as useful as **** on a hog. There aren't a lot of nitrous users either that would go to that sort of expense for something that could be done simpler and cheaper.

 

ok, a single paddle shifter for nitrous would be sick.

probably a lil overkill, but would be nice for radar detector mute too

Reviving an old thread. I'm probably going to pick one up and use the buttons for Hi Low boost control settings and maybe an exhaust cut out close/open?

I wonder if the AT steering wheel has the same plugs as the MT. Guess I'll have to pull mine to find out.
