does anyone have this optima battery? I was wondering if it would work for the 8 it says that it has 500cca and that its 21lbs. Does anyone know what the oem battery weighs

 

I just purchased an Optima 34R today, online.

It is the largest size that will fit in the stock space. Weight is 37.9 lbs.

I also looked at the Odyssey battery line.

Stock battery weighs in around 38.6 from what Spin9k said.

He replaced with a 15 lb Odyssey battery.

For me since I am adding a sub and amplifier I was looking at how much reserve time the battery has.

Odyssey batteries are lighter but have less reserve time.
