Opinions Wanted: Centrafuse Software

So, I'm looking at building a carputer for the Shinka and am looking for opinions on the Centrafuse software, preferably from people who have used it. Also open to other suggestions. I don't have nav but will be buying an RX8 nav panel to install a 7" touchscreen in (thanks to the great tech posts here, of course!).

Definitely the best one out there. Make sure to install a 32 bit o.s. so the bluetooth works properly. Add gps to the carputer for 30 bucks.

Definitely a good app to use. Well worth the money.

Thanks! Is the Centrafuse GPS software as good as iGuidance or should I go for Centrafuse without the GPS option and use iGuidance (or some other GPS software?)?

They seem about the same.

I'd install the demo version of centrafuse, it's good for 30 days.

If you're happy with it, go for it. Also, the price of one purchase is good for two hardware licences. If you've got a friend that wants to install a carputer, they can go halfsies with you.

about the same? not even close. iguidance has better routing, interface, text to speech for directions.

that said, CF destinator is built in, meaning better integrated -- the music will pause while directions are speaking, the map screen will move to front on alert etc.

so there are obviously trade offs

The 30 day trial sounds like a good idea. It'll give me more time to research options.

The GPS one is about 130 from mp3car... I'm currently trying to build a housing unit for my future carputer (measuring on curved surfaces is a bitch btw). In any case... I installed the demo and was pretty happy with it... will most definately be going that route when I have everything put together.
