It's the same.

How much you spending on that 6-7 year old CD player?

Well I wouldn't be doing my job if I didn't remind you that you can go aftermarket for probably ~$275. All brand new equipment. Better sound quality, more sound adjustments and probably iPod control. The Pioneer DEH-4300UB goes for under $100 all day online. Add the Metra kit and a RCA cable and you're set. Few more bucks will get you the P2300DVD. Obviously huge step up with DVD playback and touchscreen controls. You'd be looking at about $375 for the unit and Metra kit for that.

Quality/Features increase aside.... at least it doesn't have 6+ years of use on it....

I have a double din and metra kit installed currently. But the player didn't fit properly into the metra kit properly and had to dremel it out a bit and it still stuck out a little bit. But It was makin me mad one day and I kinda punched it.....so I think I'm just gonna go back to stock.

Well I'm not sure why your headunit wasn't fitting properly. There's been dozens of people on this board that have installed the kit with no problems. I'd highly recommend taking a chill pill, surveying/correcting the damage, and giving it another go. If you don't think you can handle it, take it to a pro. But don't toss the money you've spent, spend another $150.... for a well used inferior piece of equipment.

The head unit was a jvc that I took put of one of my old cars. Everything worked fine it just didn't fit as flush as is liked it to. I think the style of screen that flips Down to insert the cd instead of just loading it directly in are slightly bigger ..

And me punching it didn't hve anything to do with the installation. This was months later lol
