OBDII scanner recommendation - USB?
I'm in the market for an OBDII scanner for my MX5 and RX8.
I'd like a USB interface (serial ports are harder to come by on new laptops) but would also like something that can keep in the trunk and read codes without a laptop.
Any suggestions or am I looking at needing two scanners?
Lots of choices on the threads here but most seem to need a serial port interface.

Here is a link to a review of a Scan Guage 2 which seems popular, no need for a laptop, has its own screen, reads and clears codes and acts as guages too
