new speaker setup, need advice

as of now i have the stock base model speakers and HU, but as time goes so do speaker quality. For some reason it just doesnt sound the same as it used to and its getting worse. SO, i am trying to find a good setup to install, i was think apline SPRs type r in the front and rear, hooked up to an alpine iXA w407

i know this is something that is user preference but what are some setup ups you all have? im not intrested in getting a sub or amp yet, just the essentials but with a punch.

Thanks in advance

I have the Alpine type S front and rear with the 70Watt to 4 channel Alpine
The nice thing is the MRP-F450 amp has 4 speaker level inputs and a 2 channel pre-amp out for my sub amp.
