I have a 2004 RX8 with the standard sound system (not Bose).

I would like to replace the head unit so that will have an Aux-in and Bluetooth.

1. If I replace the head unit, how does the face plate "integrate" with the round shape surrounding the controls? It seems that face plates are typically rectangular. Can I order a faceplate that is designed for the RX8 or do I just learn to ignore that it looks funky?

2. I am not very happy with the sound of my system, it lacks lower base, stereo separation seems weak, playing loud lacks oomph, perhaps a bit of clipping. Is the weak link here the head unit or the speakers?
