New Cheaper Way to Install a Parrot Car Kit

I got tired of waiting for ProClip USA to stock the QuBit Mute and adapter for my Parrot Ck3100 and decided to look around to see if anyone else made adapters for the Rx8. While looking on the forums on expansys I discovered that a company in the UK sells adapters by a company called Autoleads. It allows the kit to be completley plug and play and you dont have to buy the expensive QuBit Mute. It cost me 33 GBP or about $60. This is much cheaper the the $250 or so of the Qubit product.

The mute on the Parrot Kit works just fine. I havent gotten the car all buttoned up yet so I cant tell you if it displays the word mute on the screen or not but it does mute all of the speakers. The only thing this kit requires is to splice in an attenuator in between the Parrot mute and control box. This is to bring down the volume levels ofthe Bose setero. If you dont have Bose then you dont have to do this. Otherwise the kit makes everything completley plug and play.

Here is the link to where you can buy the adapters.

http://www.justcarkits.co.uk

or directly to the store

https://sslrelay.com/www.justcarkits...dex.shopscript

Just click on Parrot Installation adapters and pick the Mazda one.

I recieved my product in about a week and they kept me updated with email. Good shipping and great service. Just thought I would let all of you guys know of a cheaper alternative to the QuBit Mute and adapters. Any questions just ask.

It just plugs in line with the stock head unit harness no other adapters needed. My price with shipping was 33GBP or so. Finshed up everything this evening. It works great.

Does the kit power the Parrot from the stereo? Where did you install the Parrot unit and the Parrot microphone. Did the kit include any instructions? Such as what plugs into what? If you get a chance could you post some photos of where you installed the Parrot?

Ill try and take some pics today. You dont really need any directions to install it. Everything just plugs together. Its pretty self explanatory. I installed the microphone up by the rearview mirror and the screen in the ashtray. I got the idea from another thread on here where someone did that. I have run into one issue with the kit. My settings arent being saved. I think that the switched power wire and constant power wire are switched. I have to pull the dashboard back apart to switch the wires. According to the Parrot forums that is the problem. Ill let you know if it works and try to take some pics when I take the dashboard back apart.

Any pictures would be appreciated. I tied this with a QuBit and could not get the Parrot to power up. I don't know if it was a defective QuBit or Parrot. I ended up returning everything, but would like to install a handsfree system. I installed the IceLink for my ipod and that was pretty easy. I'm wondering if that connection on the back of the stereo will only power one external device. If anyone knows please post your rely.
