Ok i have the metra kit for my rx8 and just installed a cd player and the kit today in my car. Now my question is theres a buzzing noise in my speakers at low volume, *you can hear it at higher volume* or fuzzy noise. wouldnt you say i have a bad cd player? the metra kit is used but i dont think it is causeing this noise. all the wires are correct and solid.

pretty much i just need some reasurance that it is prolly my cd player and i just need to replace it.

 

Does the buzz itself increase and decrease when you adjust the volume **** on the player?

Does the buzz exist on all sources of audio? Tuner? CD player?

Does the buzz exist whether the car is running or off?

Does the buzz vary with engine RPM?

 

buzz is the same, only when cd player is on. it is on all the sources, i dont think it changes w/ rpm. the only time the buzz changes is when you change the source on the cd player. when you adjust the volume **** it dont decrease but you cant hear it when the music is loud. Im pretty sure its the cd unit but i could be wrong. what else could it be?? everything is hooked up solid and right.

 

Move the headunit's ground wire to a different location. If you're using a factory ground wire in the harness, try connecting it directly to metal in the dash.
