So I'm looking into getting a new deck w/built in NAV (and blue tooth would be nice too). I have been looking at the following decks:


JVC KW-AVX820,
Pioneer AVIC-X710BT


I looked at them both at Futureshop earlier today and while I like Pioneer's interface much more, the JVC's 'boot time' is near instantanious compared to Pioner's taking 24 seconds (!) until its up.

JVC's menu interface seems like it was designed by a high school co-op, I'm hoping you can at least get more 'themes' or customize it somehow.

Things I'll be using it for: Obviously music, nav, I would use it for taking phonecalls, ipod connectivity and *occasionally* a divx.

I don't know if anyone has experience with one or the other, of course the guys at futureshop never give you a proper demo, they just press a couple buttons and pressure you buy it on the spot if you know what i mean.

Price isn't really an issue here, I just want to find a unit that does the 8 justice.
