Question Need help from audio gurus

I am having an unusual thing happen to my right rear 6x9 speaker. It is a 3-way Infinity Reference 6x9 powered by an Infinity REF7541 4 channel amp.

The Story:
it began a several months ago when I would crank up my car and get nothing but a hissing sound from the right rear speaker (note that all the other speakers are just fine, still play music, no hiss) but this one speaker...I tried disconnecting the 3Sixty.1 processor outputs, still a loud hiss (this is only hiss, no music will come out and sounds like static you would get from a radio station that doesn't come in at all). I have muted that output through the Palm device, still hiss. I even disconnected the RCA's going into the amp itself, still a hiss, so I imagine it is the speaker output of the amp. After about a day or two, maybe even as short as 15 to 30 minutes, the hiss goes away and I get music from that speaker again. strange....

Lately though it has been happening more frequently and it seems to have gotten louder. But as the day goes on, it will actually fade away into a soft hiss.... I am thinking the right rear output is going bad on the amp, but I am not sure. I am hoping someone here may have some experience with this sort of issue and have a suggestion. I think I may just have to get a new amp.

Thanks in advance.

Try switching speaker wires with the left rear. If the problem swaps sides, you've bulls-eyed the right rear amp channel.

Alright thanks! I will switch the outputs tomorrow when I got some light to work with. I probably should have done that already though.
