need advice w/stereo & speakers

my left side door speakers (both the sub and the tweeters) are very quiet compared to the left side. If I set with the balance and fade control to just the left door speakers, they barely put out any sound. Anyone have any advice? Radio or speakers? BTW, it's the same with the radio or CD player.
