Nav not working, is it a fuse?

When I bought the 8 I loved the fact that is had Navigation, but after a few months I just left it down and didnt really use it unless I actually need directions.

Anyways I got into the car and hit the open button...the screen opened like usual but then there was no picture and when I hit the open button again (to close it) or the tilt button nothing happens!!!

Might it be a fuse??? I called the Mazda dealership near me for help he said most likey it was a fuse in the fuse panel next to your left leg, I checked it out and I didnt see anything wrong with any of the fuses that were marked (audio).

Does anyone know (if it is a fuse) which fuse it would be??? Or what else I can do to fix it?

Did you give the screen like a minute to warm up?

Mine takes time sometimes for me to be able to see it.

After I read your post I went out and tried it, unfortunetly it didnt work, so..i went into the owners manual and read fuse descriptions and none of them had to do with the Nav??? I think im just guna let the dealership mess with it, I might as well use the warranty before it runs out!!

But hey I appreciate the help!

If you close the NAV pod (manually), and press the open button again, does it open ? If so, the Nav pod could be out of alignment with the motor -- I've seen that happen because I've taken mine apart plenty of times and if it's not aligned propperly it will either only open or only close and the tilt button won't work as well as there's no picture (the display only comes on when the motor position is in the right spot). Getting it aligned however is quite a trip.

I wrote you a long PM, my best guess is that something probably fell between the screen and the dash (behind it), preventing the screen from opening all the way.
