Nav Install - 2009

All, I have a 2009 with the Bose system now. I am looking to install an in-dash nav/hu unit. By reading some of the past threads, I will need the metra kit. Is there anything else I need to look at before I start this? Should I use the metra steering controls as well? Any pointers to a good hu to get? thoughts and comments welcome.

I spoke with the guys at metra today. they said for the 2009 and 2010 models, you do not need the HVAC controller. You do need a 70-7903T so that you can plug in the radio to update the clock.
