I have a Pioneer receiver for my home theater that comes with a mic for calibration. With this unit I can plug that mic into my car aux port and have the head unit run a calibration of the speakers (make sure you get out of the car while it's running because it can get pretty loud). It does a great job with setting your equalizers to the best possible setting, my front tweeters are sounding better than I thought they could I can finally hear them.

Did you have the Bose or Stock radio before? The kit and install looks pretty good.

Nice install man looks like you scratched up the console a bit I did the same, you can blend it very easily. Just take something that is mildly abrasive (i used a mountain dew plastic bottle cap) and gently rub out the scratches.

I had a stock radio before. Thanks for the tip Paimon.soror, the last person who had it scratched it up I was looking for a way to clean that up.

It's almost comical. As I said in another thread, had nobody used the Metra kit without problems? I'm sorry. Not trying to be rude. I'm just appalled at the lack of quality from a $150 dash kit. I realize some of these problems are installation related (faceplate pins and whatnot), but I don't recall anyone having these issues with the corksport kit even.

I will admit sometimes the volume buttons on the steering wheel sometimes don't respond fully.

I have this same headunit, It's awesome... How did you calibrate it this way? Is there a setting part I'm missing that runs this calibration tool?

Not sure what Antonio paid, but I'm about to do the Metra dash upgrade with a Pioneer P4300DVD and several adapters (iPod integration, PAC SWI module, bluetooth adapter and Sirius module).

I purchased everything (except the dash kit) from Amazon, and total cost, including the Metra kit was right around $875. Keep in mind though that the P3200DVD is about $100 less than the one I got.

Why would you go that route when the X930BT can be had for ~$650? Add in steering wheel controls and dash kit and your at about the same dollar spent, but now have GPS.

EDIT: Forgot about the Sirius modules. Add another $100 for those. Even still, worth the few extra bucks...

I absolutely wanted a 7" screen, and I didn't need the Nav, since I already have it built into the car. I also didn't want to spend over $1000 for the 7" AVIC-Z120BT alone.

All-in-all, this combo worked best for me, even though I didn't really want to have to add an external bluetooth adapter.

I paid 349.00 for the head unit from Amazon. For the calibration I have a Pioneer home system that has a Microphone that can also connect to the cars system, just plug it in run the auto calibration get out the car and let it do it's thing.
