My custom audio install
This box is 1.544cuft AFTER sub/port displacement. It has a 4" x 11" port. Rockford Fosgate 10" T110D4 sounds beautiful with their P6001BD 1800watt amp. This one fits right in the little hole at the bottom of the trunk. This sub required 1.5cuft for a vented enclosure so i had to build it as big as possible.
The Sub, Rockford Fosgate T110D4 1200watts max:
The Amp, Rockford Fosgate P6001BD 600watts RMS 1800watts max:
The wood parts after a trip to home depot:
After i put the frame together:
Tested the mounting diameter after cut:
Shot after port hole and wire terminal cuts:
11" PVC port
Shot of completed box:
Sub installed and ready to rock:
Too much light in this shot, but this was after i got it in the car(shot toward back seats):
The box carpet is in the mail so i will get some pics after the entire installation is fully complete. More pictures to come!

Details, details please. How does it sound? Does your trunk need dyonmat, now? How much did this set up cost? I was thinking of adding a basslinkII, but I may do something similar to your set up. It looks preety good, good work.

Nice work and thanks for the info. Hmmmm. ..what to do what to do.
I had my last car broken into and some b!tches stoled my chit stolen. That really pissed me off thats why I'm debating whether or not to invest $500-$1000.

I, too, am digging that fiberglass box going through the rear seatback opening. Looks like it wouldn't take up a lot of trunk space, do you have any photos of the install from the rear?

It takes only 15 cms of deep (DEEP?), (dont know in inches) and 33 cms (wide),and it sounds better than a 25 litres box ,after this work, my hand made box is of 20 litres.

If you do plan to make some cash, don't post any prices on this thread so it won't get locked, unless of course you want to become a vendor of some kind, then go for it
Again, great work!
Oh, and btw, you should definitely post your own thread and we'll move these over so we're not threadjacking the OP.
To the OP, nice work. One question, how'd you mount your amp? Attached to the box? I'm actually interested in seeing how everyone mounts their amps so I can get ideas on what to do with mine.

It sounds like the angels!! Hahaha, thank you for your words, the ampli is in the same place of the BOSE but cutting the iron to make bigger the space, i'll put some photos , if you visit Barcelona any time ,dont dubt to say to me,i'll be pleased to show my work, like i show now to my friends of club-rx8 in spain.
If you want quality speakers for your Rx8, DLS of sweeden, 8" and tweeter iridium class is the best for it.
The first photo you see the space i won cutting, later with dynamat for better mounting
The ampli in the same place that the Bose, before cutting.
The tweeters n the same place but, "cleaning" the Bose name, cutting and painting to prepare the new DLS tweeter
The new tweeters in his place
The final result
The 8" in the door

FYI- If that is MDF behind your front speakers, you may want to do a search on replacing the door speakers. There have been several complaints about water intrusion into the front doors & MDF adapters being ruined. Everything looks great. Nice new idea. Peace!!
