MP3 install Step 8 Push pin (Help)

I saw in the MP3 install instructions step 8 it mentions using a push pin tool to push the center pin in. Can someone elaborate on this. I am due to recieve my MP3 player on Monday and I was wondering about what the instructions are refering to.
