some of the newer modding chips allow for hard drives over the previous 120gb limit...I'm thinking about swapping a 300gigger into mine...make it a DVD server

A lot of times the size limitation is controled by what bios ver has been loaded on the mod chip. true that some mod chips don't allow for larger than 137 Gb partitions. there way around that too.

That boot didn't happen to have a specific name to it did it? Is it the Performance black leather boot? 8" or 10" tall?

Heck I might just call my dealer to see if they sell RX-8 boots...would cost about the same a Momo boot.

I tried taking apart the shifter assembly the other day to see how hard it would be to install. Couldn't find where exactly you screw the boot in? Does this install require you to cut or put holes into the boot?

You install the boot from underneath--once you pop off the console covering the shift mechanism--you'll see.

Call Trussville.. They had it delivered to my door in 3 days... for less than what my dealer wanted. Just tell them that you want the STOCK shifter boot for the manual transmission RX-8. There is no drilling, no cutting....just looks perfect! You will want to cut the shift stalk about an inch or more so it will look closer to the stock shifter.
