Mitsu Electric: First multi-format in-dash unit
I remember in another post some one had requested that Mazda have a CD changer that plays multi-types and had ports for accessories.
Well, according to the newest Automotive Engineering magazine, Mitsubishi Electric will be supplying a 6-disc in dash unit that can accept CD, DVD and music burned on CD-R and CD-RW.
Also, comes with auxillary ports for video games, camcorders, digital cameras and a transmitter for wireless headphones.
The picture show a pretty slim and neat unit.
The Chrysler Pacifica is the first car slated to get the new unit first.

Sounds cool, but no MP3s?
Doesn't the Pacifica have the nav embedded right in the speedo dial? So if it plays DVDs it'd be right in the drivers face? They must have screens elsewhere in the car.
