i was reinstalling my metra kit [took it off previously] and every thing worked out fine. but one thing i noticed, is that there are three buttons that are unresponsive between the temperature and fan dials. one thing i noticed that doesnt work is my windshield defroster. but on the other hand my rear windshield defroster works fine. also the mode button doesnt work either. also the button that tells you where you want the air to go doesnt work either. what do you guys think it could be?

 

You probably have a broken wire or contact between the kit and the switch module. If you are using extension harnesses, that would be the most likely spot. The harness on the "fan switch" side of the switch module would be the problem.

and no, im not using the extension harnesses. i dont think my kit came with them. but i did have to tug on the wires a bit to get them next to the glove box.

 

ok, this is weird, but i just checked it this morning when i started the car and all the buttons seem to magically work now

 

ok, now after a quick drive, now the buttons dont seem to work anymore.

well bad news, after checking the connections, my display went out. so now i went back to stock. i think its an issue with the axxces box
