Mazda 6 CD Changer & Mazda Sirius Module Compatible?
Just confirming that both can go into the stock unit. I did a search and it looks like the Sirius module slots below the CD unit where the old tape module would have gone.
Is this correct? Thanks!

The OEM in-dash 6-disc CD changer leaves the external CD changer port open, which is where (I believe) the OEM satellite radio plugs in - for 2005+ models only. The spot below the CD slot is for either a cassette or MD player, either of which plugs into a different port on the underside of the head unit.
Hope that answered your question.

The internal 6-disc changer replaces the single-CD player - it uses no additional ports on the rear of the head unit. The external changer (which would sit in your trunk) would plug into an external port on the rear of the unit that, for 2005+ models, can also accept the OEM satellite radio system. This same external port is also often used by aftermarket iPod / MP3 player adapters, such as Audiolink.
You can only use that external port for one of these (external changer, OEM sat radio, aftermarket MP3 player adapter) at a time, so if you're planning on having OEM sat radio, you cannot also use an iPod adapter that would plug into that port.
Keep in mind that there are iPod adapters that instead use the cassette/MD port located on the underside, but again, if you already have a cassette/MD plugged in there, you'd have to give it up.
