does anyone know if the Mazda 3 6-disc changer work in our 8's?

i have the GT package and i am wondaring if the the Mazda 3 6-disc changer would work in my car.

plz let me know if it can cause a friend of mine is willing to give it to me if it works because he is getting a aftermarket headunit for his car.

i did a serach but didn't find anything on this topic

 

AFAIK, all mazda headunits are modular and share the same component modules underneith the shell. So I'd say there's a good likelihood that the 6 disc changer from the 3 will work on 8's head unit.

 

it works i have it, dont' try and use their trim panel though :P

is there any MP3 player from the Mazda 3 or 6 that would work for the RX8 as well? Been looking for one recently. TIA
