I updated my ROM with the new disk. It "appears" that the maps are now searched for the entire US.

Here are my problems with the Nav:
If I go in and search for restaurants, and choose "nearest", it works great. But if I choose by name, it's searching a couple hundred miles away (I KNOW there's a McDonald's closer than 3 states away)

If I try to serach by address, inputting Zip works, but choosing city, again it can not seem to find any towns close to home.

It's behaving almost as if my Nav is set to the wrong home region, but I can not find the setting.

Anyone else have these issues?

I'll be calling NavTech today.

 

Okay, so I figured out how to change my map area, except, that I get "no region found"! Called NavTech, they said call MNAO, they said go to the dealer.

Maybe if I kick and scream enough I can get a free map upgrade?

 

I had exactly the same problem with mine. Just go into the "secret hidden menus" and do a "cold boot". You loose all of your history and marked points, but you will be able to select a region.
