LOC AudioControl LC6i wiring help

Alright so I need some assistance regarding the LOC AudioControl LC6i wiring. My set up:

-2 JL Audio 10w3 subs
-JL Audio J2 1000.1 mono amp
-AudioControl LC6i

Based on my understanding, the AudioControl connects between the stock amp and the JL Audio amp.

My questions:
-How have you guys powered it up? Have you tapped into the stock amp for power?

-How about the "Remote-In" connection? Have you tapped into the stock amp for a "Remote-In signal"? The AudioControl user manual mentions that the "Remote-In" feature could possibly not be used since the unit is equipped GTO, which allows it to turn on when it detects a signal at the main speaker level inputs. So were you guys able to ignore this connection because of this GTO feature?

-As for the "Remote-Out," since I am not powering anything else, can I just ignore this?

Below is a picture of how the AudioControl LC6i looks.

I'm just trying to figure out how many connections I will be dealing with when installing the AudioControl LC6i.

Thank you in advance.

Take the Bose amp out of the equation. This will go between your headunit and JL amp.

Yes. It was awhile ago, but I believe I just ran a small 18awg wire from my amp's 4awg input to the LC6i.

I tried using the GTO feature and letting the LC6i make the remote turn-on for my Kicker amp.... but it didn't work for me. So I had to run an ignition source to the LC6i's remote-in connection. I used the rear cig lighter for this. After making this connection, the remote out worked fine.

Run this to the JL amp's remote turn-on connection.

The issue with the above method is that you're pulling the LC6i's power off an already existing circuit in the car. Admittedly, the LC6i probably doesn't pull much power, but don't get into that habit.

So to understand, your power source for the LC6i was from your amps 4awg input? My main concern now is where to get power from because the manual suggests running power from the battery, but I don't want to go that route. Where can I run power from?

Sorry if I'm not understanding correctly...just want to be sure that what I'm doing is correct.

Correct. Which is directly from the battery. You already have to power your amp directly off the battery, so why wouldn't you just jump a little wire over to the LC6i too?

And the LC6i will not constantly remain on if powered in this method. It uses the turn-on lead just the same as your amp does.

considering the unit has a listed 2 amp fuse in the manual i doubt that is going to blow the accessory fuse anytime soon ^_^.
