Lightbulb LED bulbs (again)

Well I installed the test bulb(15 LED Ultrabright white) I aquired from autoillumination and once again was sorely disappointed in how dim it was compared to stock. Granted it was brighter than the 9 LED bulbs I got from Surplusled.com, its still pathetic. The best bulbs I found thus far were the 3156/3157 bulbs I (mis)aquired from Ledtronics . Those bulbs were by far the highest quality and brightest bulbs I have seen so far. It would probably solve all our LED bulb woes if someone could figure out a way to mount these bulbs or even the 1156/1157 size bayonet bulbs. From my fiddling with them it would appear the lamp housing needs to be widened by ~2mm, plus whatever modifications for the socket replacement. But thats just my uneducated opinion. Somebody that actually knows what they're doing want to look at it?

I have the same opinion about the LED bulbs from autolumination or superbrightleds... they are too dim. Additionally, several people said they will burn out in a few months. I will see I guess.
I think it would greatly help these bulbs if there were at least 3 or 4 more LEDs pointing to the side so that the reflector could be utilized more. As it is, the 6 LEDs on the side don't cut it.
